Does anybody here have any experience with the tinanium Taurus?  Titanium is an incredible material to make guns with and I hope they didn't blow it.

I have a titanium Taurus pocket revolver in 44 Special.  Unfortunately, the cylinder is misaligned.  Of course this has nothing to do with it's being titanium and a lot to do with quality control, but I have to get off my duff and send it to Taurus and hope for a fix before I try shooting it.

I had a friend get a lite weight and it wasn`t long till the cylinder lock was to lose to shot safely. I was going to buy that gun, boy am I gald I let him have it. Gun Test checked out all the lite weights about a 1 1/2 ago and said that none of them would stand up to alot of shooting. Since then Smith has brought out some new models that are suposed to hold up alot better. I fell in love with their 329 PD. It`s a .44 mag. the same size as the 629, but weights about as much as a lite .357. I have not shot one yet, but I hear that they are brutle with 240 grn. hot ammo. I want one for CCW. If it`s to bad I`ll shot .44 sp. in it.

I have a 357 Tracker Ti and it works well BUT you have to keep the loads below 35K PSI or it binds in the chambers in my gun. BTW the new 357 SAAMi is 35K and my tracker takes that level Ok but not higher. If you exceed 35K the brass sticks very nicely and difficult to remove. My tracker is still tight after several hundred rounds of 38 SPL +P+. The S&W 396's work well with 44 spl loads , reported to get rattiling lose with several boxes of 44 mag 240 loads. Good luck on your choice, on the Taurus have the gun in hand before you buy their QC is variable!

I have both a Taurus Model 450SH2C (.45 Colt) and a Taurus model 85 SHC (.38 special) These are both of the Total Titanium line and I have had no problems with either one so far. All that I use in these is standard factory ammunition. Personally I would stay away from the magnums in these ultra-lite type revolvers.
