Shot the Yugo today with the new Williams sight in place. The 25 yd sight in is very promising. As I thought, the flip up front sight acts as an Ashley Outdoors Big Dot. Very easy to see, especially when you unscrew the aperture from the sight.
Unfortunately, it was almost 98 degrees outside at the range with no breeze blowing  ! Too damn hot for me to trudge back and forth from target to bench at 50 and 100 yds a pop.
I contented myself with shooting at clay birds at 50 yds and a milk jug at 100. Starting to like this gun more and more.
Also found a Combat Exchange monte carlo stock for $25 at a local pawn shop to outfit the rifle. Used to have one on a Russian SKS years ago. Got stupid and sold it thinking how easy it would be to find another one when I got the urge for one. Only took me 10 years to find another stock (still looking for that other Russian).
