This beast was shot in the King Salmon area. (Alaska?). 86" possible new worlds record.

I heard about a new moose kill but have not seen a picture yet.  pretty impressive if the guy is 6' then it is surly a nice moose.  Will have to watch and see what happens after they dry and are scored.

Actually the green score was a hair over 80" and the guy is around 5'5". The picture is kinda bad because of the angle but nevertheless, its a truely amazing bull and I say it will score in the top 5.

A good friend of ours was packing in the area and was at the airport. He talked to the guy and got a good luck at the antlers. If he says it was 80" than I believe him. My wifes boss was out there also and he said the guy had a heart attack so I guess the rumors are starting about this bull like dalliwackers bear on hitchenbrook  (hes kinda a flake, the boss)

Here's another one we're waiting for more information on, but wanted to pass on what we do have, which is just a picture of what is obviously a seriously big Alaska-Yukon moose. We're told the greatest spread is 80-3/8 inches. Its too early for the 60-day drying period, so we have not seen an entry on this bull yet, but we'll keep you posted.

Update: This bull was taken by Mark Rose on 9/13/03, near Rapid on the Alaska Peninsula. The official entry score is 247-7/8 which ranks #15 All-time. The bull with the greatest spread in the records book is 81-4/8.
