Does anyone have a suggestion for a decent quality rifle scope for around $100? Something in the 1.5-4x32 range. It will be going on a .270win. I was looking at the Bushnell "trophy" any opinions on these? Thanks.

The Bushnell Trophy would probably be the only one that I would recommend under $100.00.

Nikon Prostaff fixed 4x40 or 3-9x40 for around $120.......probably the best thing for that....unless you HAVE to have the 1-4 range, it a much better scope than the trophy IMO......JUST :money: !!

another option could be a swift premier, idk, maybe someone else has some ideas...(im not a genious about the lower powered scope)

I know what it is like to have a tight budget but I have to agree with Goose7856 on this one....Unless it is just impossible I would save up and get the Nikon Pro Staff that best fits your weapon and hunting style.
4x 32mm, 2x-7x 32mm, or the 3x-9x 40mm.
Parallax is set at 50 yards, 75 yards, and 100 yards respectfully.

You can get the Nikon Pro Staff 2x-7x 32mm at Wal-Mart for $130 and www.theopticzone.com has them for $119. In my honest opinion the Pro Staff Series is well worth the little extra money and they have a transferrable Full-Lifetime Warranty.

Is your mind set on a variable? Ebay often has some pretty good prices on Leupold M8, 4X scopes.

A buddy of mine say's his pro staff is a great scope. I have used a Trophy
before and it was a good scope for the money. I would also say
my new Sightron S1 3x9x40 is really a good scope for the money I paid
$134 +/- (including shipping). I ordered it from TJ genral store. I
believe I have shot 20 deer with a trophy scope, it did the trick just fine.

7mags right........i had forgotten the 2-7x32 model, sry........that would be your best bet IMO

No. The only thing that is different between the 2x-7x and the 3x-9x is Parallax is set at 75 yards instead of 100 and the 2x-7x has a little extra eye relief is a little shorter and lighter....everything else is exactly the same, even the reticle type and size.

I tested the Nikon Pro Staff on a few different rifles but I absolutely shot the crap out of a 7mm Rem. Mag. with the 2-7x Pro Staff on top of it from varying distances of near to far and had no problems at all.
