Dillon's RF 100 Automatic Primer Filler
« on: June 14, 2004, 09:31:26 AM »
Just wondering of anybody has any experience with this?  My Franklin Forge auto primer filler from Midway is not really doing the job--primers are getting flipped.

Does the Dillon do the job?

Thanks,

Do you mean the primer tubes? If so, they are quite reliable, but I do get an occasional flipped primer. Maybe one in 500.

I am talking about the machine that fills the tubes automatically.  It's pricey and I'm just wondering if it is worth it

I would think it's not worth it. It takes me 10 minutes to fill 5 tubes (i.e. 500 primers).  That's the entire time from the moment I step up to the loading bench to the time I've got everything put away and I'm washing my hands.  My approach was to buy a total of five tubes with the machine, then charge 5 tubes at a time.  It's really easy and convenient. They've got a good system.
