Had some time today after a meeting to watch some CASS shooting for the first time.  A co-worker has been involved for a while now and has also been trying to get me involved.   Gotta say as mauch as I'm NOT into competitive shooting, this could be something.  Was nothing about it I didn't find appealing.  Gotta say also that I hadn't realized the speed these firearms could be fired accuratly.  One woman in particular...wow thought that single action was a semi for a second.  Yessir, you fellas earned another fan today as well as my respect for your sport.
I'm sure I'll have "new guy" questions later so bare with me please.

We'll be glad to try to answer all your questions.  That's one of the best parts about online forums.

And about competitiveness.. it's what you want it to be.  Some folks are intense and others are way, way laid back.  But we all have fun.

Notice you are from the Pine Tree State so here is the SASS page with clubs in Maine:  http://www.sassnet.com/pages/Clubs/Maine.html

Ususally there are several pards that would be glad to loan you guns and ammo.  Might want to call/e-mail and see if this is the case for the particular club.

And welcome to this great sport!

BlkHawk73,

Bring yer questions on, Pard!!!  As the others say, you'll find Cowboy Action to be a very enjoyable "competitive" sport.....it's probably more about camaraderie and relationships than anything else!

Purty sure that one of us will know the answer to any inquiry.....

Take care and Lookin' ta see ya in the future,
