Info on glock warr./repair
« on: July 27, 2004, 11:34:23 AM »
Hi Guys,

I've got a used glock that I think may need to have some repair work done on it.  Have any of you sent one in to the factory for repair or work?  Was there a charge?  Any info you could share would be appreciated as I've never had any repairs done by Glock.

What is Glock's warrenty and repair policy?

Thanks for any help and info.

Unless you have frame/gripframe damage you can buy any parts to need to rebuild your
glock and do it yourself. That's the beauty of the Glock design. Simple to disassemble/assemble, and replace parts. Enjoy your new, used Glock!

Give them a call 1-770-432- 1202

I just got a new/used Glock and noticed that the serial number ran in the "upgrade" list.  I gave them a call and they ordered me new frame right away from Austria. Should be in next week.  Then they will give me there billing number and I mail it to them for free and they mail me my new gun back

Other Glock has had no problems, but I like the customer service I have received thus far from my "new" Glock.

Thanks guys.

TScottW99,

Where is this "upgrade list" located?  I'd rather not have to, but I'd rather know if it is on that list.

Thanks,
JCM

I don't know of an offical list.  Though the list runs in the "E" series of pistols that were made in late 01 & early 02.  I think it starts around "ED" and runs to "EW".  My pistol was one of the last as it was a "EVM" series.

Here's Glock's information on the subject and a phone number just for the "upgrade"

Glock called me on Friday and informed me that my new frame was in and gave me there shipping account number.  Off to GA it goes on Tuesday     Though this gun has been 100% reliable I'm not going to pass up on a new frame
