Maine DNR questionaire

I just got one of these in the mail the other day.Since i've hunted in maine 2 or the last 3 yrs.Had questions relating to bear hunting.Ex: would you continue to hunt in maine if the use of baiting,dogs or traps were no longer legal etc...I filled mine out and sent it back.Hope it helps you Maine folk keep your existing bear hunting rights/regulations.

I wonder if they are sending it out to everyone amongst a certain group of hunters ( i.e. those who have hunted 2 of the past 3 years as you have ) or whether they are randomly sending it to a sampling of hunters.

They claimed it was a random sampling.Not being sent to all hunters.

Hey Shooter, like on the question you exampled above.A "good" response would be "No" right ?  You are the only one I have heard of so far that has gotten the survey so I dont think its a real broad mailout.It makes your answering it all the more important.Thanks !!!

Guys,
    the way i filled it out there aint no guessing as to whether or not i'd ever come to Maine to hunt again if they got rid of the bear baiting,dogs or trapping.I answered "no",i would not consider hunting in Maine in the future if they did away with these hunts.We almost had a bear/dog season here in NY years ago.They had a special season where dog handlers could run bear to train the dogs  but i dont think any shooting was allowed.A group caled NYPIRG led the liberals and squashed any chance at this type of hunt in NY that and Mario Cuomo our liberal Govenor that positioned NY state to have the 2nd highest taxes in the entire country.I hope our neighbors to the north in canada can take a majority and reverse the liberals that are ruining that countrys personal rights.We see how well their liberal leaders supported our efforts in Iraq...but i ramble.

:D  One of my bear hunters wrote to say he had received the questionnaire.  He is bringing it with him when he comes back for another bear.  Hoping people will use their heads in the vote, but who knows.
