High Capacity Makarov .380
« on: May 19, 2004, 07:18:29 AM »
Hello everyone!

I need some help and I figured this was probably the best place to post the question because of the pistol I was talking about, so forgive me if I should of posted somewhere else!

I need help with finding out some info on a pistol I've picked up at a local gunshow.  It's a Makarov .380 with three high capacity magazines!  It holds 14 rounds of .380 per mag.  I can't find any info on it what so ever.

It has on one side the normal caliber marking on it.  Cal.380-ACP and then a little down the slide is K.B.I and below that is IHG.HBG.PA.  All in white lettering.  On the other side is has Made is Russia and below that By IMEZ.

It's a really nice pistol with adjustable sights and a pretty large handle on it and comfortable grips that are black with checkering.   Only thing is, I can't find out how much it's worth!  I would like to know if you guys could help me!

Also! I can't find a single other High Capacity Makarov anywhere!  Gunsamerica..Gunbroker!  Nothing.  All have 8 round mags, regardless of calibers!  I'm just asking to make sure I don't have something here I need to keep and not bring to the next gunshow!

Thanks a lot!
BDJ

FWIW I bought a HiCap in 9x18, with 1 extra Promag mag, extra Pearce grip, box, paperwork and cleaning rod for $175.00 and think I got a deal. So if it's anywhere near that price, I'd jump on it.
Also Makarov.com says that original Russian mags can fetch $50.00 each so consider that in the deal.
8 round mags will work in the HiCaps.
I haven't tried mine yet but have heard the Promags are poor but you may get lucky. Makarov.com  has 10rd mags for $28.00. Check their site out. There is a lot of information there and parts and accessories.
