Black Bears and Wild Hogs Out West....
« on: June 22, 2004, 11:33:57 AM »
I got home over Father’s Day weekend and in looking around there is a great crop of little pigs chasing after their mothers.  Also spotted two sow Black Bears with cubs, both had twins.  All this and a great crop of fawns makes it look like a great season ahead.  Now if everyone will watch out with their fires and such this year(REAL dry already in the hills) hunting prospects look great for everyone.  How about an update from others out West in your respective areas?  Lawdog

Was up last night with my spotting scope looking at the high country. Saw 6 bucks, 2 were big  . I was quite impressed with the overall antler growth for being early in the season. I think this will be a good year.
Everything here is also bone dry hopefully we will get some rain throughout the summer.
