Bullseye;

Just wondering if you have been shooting that FG you said you just recently bought?
Wanted to know if your getting any good groups with the XTP bullet?  :grin:

Bullseye...Have you shot your FG yet?

Have been shooting it a little bit.  I shot it about two or three weeks ago and was getting good groups with the XTP's.  I did not measure them but I would say they were about 1 1/2" at 50 yards.  The trigger was about 6 1/2 lbs which I was not happy with, so the gun spent a couple of weeks at the smiths.  It now has a smooth 3.5 lb trigger.  I shot it Friday about 10 times and the groups seemed to show promise.  I did not measure them or worry to much about the group size since I took my nephew shooting and was just having fun with him.  I shot offhand and was happy with what I saw.

The sights are still off and the gun is shooting about 4" right.  I spent tonight looking and trying to decide what type of sights (or scope) I want on this gun.  I wish they would put something on a lever action from the factory that did not require a hammer and a piece of brass to adjust the windage.  I know it is supposed to be traditional, but give us the option.

I will let you know how it does in a few weeks when I get real serious with it.  I am shooting the same load that I am using in my Contender and have be getting one big hole groups with at 50 yards, hope the Marlin does as well.
