.44 hot shot
« on: June 19, 2004, 10:56:59 AM »
I just got an old contender with a .44 mag barrel that has what looks like a rifled choke tube on it. How do these work? Should i load some cci shot shells for it? It certainly looks like you dont want to shoot a slug through the choke! Thanks- Tad :D

the choke is designed to break the plastic capsule and is supposed to give better patterns.  designed for t.c.'s hotshot capsules, i dont know if they improve cci capsule patterns.  you are right, you dont want to shoot slugs through it with the choke in.  with the choke removed, mine is wicked accurate.
