Need some help with Encore forearm screws
« on: June 30, 2004, 09:56:56 AM »
Hi,

I need to know what the screw length and number of threads is for an Encore rifle forearm. I was told that I could use my black powder forearm but the mounting screws are totally different. The holes do line up so I was hoping to be able to purchase some screws and try it. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the length but the Encore forend screws in the rifle and pistol barrels are 8-40 while the screws in your Black powder barrel are 1/4-28.
Call T/C and they fix you up with what you need.

Save yourself the hassle/grief and call TC.  They will send you exactly what you need and it will arrive within a week.

My original Encore dealer lost all my future business over two missing forearm screws that he left out of the box and then refused to replace.

It was very frustrating and I had up til then just presumed that all forearm screws were the same and interchangeable.  Not true between the synthetics and wood, nor is it true on the grips between the wood and synthectics.

Hope this helps you and others!
