So what needs to be done to these frames to use regular blued and stainless barrels with Armor Alloy II frames?

pretty sure it's just open up the hinge holes. At least that's all I did to mine and it worked fine. Used a 3/8 drill bit and worked slowly. took less than 10 minutes. Maybe someone has more info to pass along on this tho.

That's all you need to do is open up the hinge pin hole.  I found a dowel rod of close to the hole size and wrapped it with fine grit emery cloth to do mine.  Work slowly and keep trying the blue or stainless pin till it just fits.  Not hard to do at all.

I spoke with Ed Kirkpatrick a while back about this very subject.  He indicated that often the barrel and pin will be worn enough that with a little force the pin will go in without any drilling or honing.

Thanks Gents,
Unfortunately, I think there might be something more to it because I've got the barrels to fit the frame okay, but the locking lugs aren't releasing the interlock safety so the gun won't fire.  this is the case with all my barrels, not just one or two.

thanks,
 graycg.

Are you using a Contender or G2 frame?  Are your locking lugs solid or split?   Have you called Ed Kirkpatrick?  Have you called TC?  I do not believe there is any difference in the barrels beyond the dimension of the pin hole.
