Remington 700 trigger and bolt

I would like some info on REM. 700
  I recently purchased a used REM 700 BDL-7mm-08. The outside looks great, but the trigger and I assume the bolt, are in need of cleaning. I have never taken apart  a 700. Searching the net I have not been able to find any drawings or usefull info on disassembly.
 Don't dare take it apart and not be able to put it back together.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Contact Remington to get an owners manual for your rifle. FREE. It will show you all you need to know. The new manuals they are now including are improved over the older ones.


 To take bolt out look in front of the trigger. You'll see a small square of metal. Push it in while pulling back on the bolt and the bolt will come out. To disassemble the bolt if that is your intention you really need the manual in hand for the graphics.

Dunno what kinda cleaning you are assuming the trigger needs but my advice to you is to NOT mess with the insides of that assembly. Just don't even think about it.

Then choose centerfire M700

This should give you a schematic, parts list, and manual link which contains directions on cleaning method/disassembly of the trigger assembly and bolt

The manual will not tell you how to disassemble the trigger assembly so if your trigger group requires disassembly I would suggest a qualified gunsmith
