Virginia Hogs?
« on: June 14, 2004, 01:57:54 PM »
I live in South Western Virginia and know there must be Hog hunting in this state. Yet I can't seem to find a single outfitter, preserve, or club to contact.  Maybe one near Covington called the "Hog Walla Lodge" but they have no web page to explore, just a phone number.  I would appreciate any info to lead me to a contact.

I have a 15" 30-06 TC Encore, a 15" 45 Long Colt TC Encore and a 7.5" six shot single action Ruger 45 long Colt.  Which one would you folks think best for the Hog Hunt?

Thanks in advance for any help you all might share.

Branch,

Don't know if you would be interested but a friend of mine at work puts in for these "draw" hunts all over the state, last year he took a nice hog on the eastern shore. It only cost him a few bucks for the registration fee and you were on a 2 deer/hog hunt.  Better get to work, the draw opportunities will soon be over for the year.
