Hello everyone,
I'm new to the sight (a great one too).
I'm looking for information on re-staking a shell latch on my 870. Has anyone done this before?

I am also looking for help on getting my trigger pull lightened.

Had it happen once a long time ago on an 870. Best I recall it ain't so easy to get to but used a center punch to restake it as best I recall. Can't help on the trigger, never saw a need to improve one yet. There is or was someone who offered trigger jobs on them a few years back. VERY expensive. If it's really that bad let a gunsmith or Remington check it and they might be able to improve it some.

Allan Timney in CA. will do trigger job on 870 for I think it is $85. He is on the internet and is not the same guy as Timney triggers which are from AZ I think. Bit pricey but feedback I have heard has been excellent. I am sending mine out to him shortly. Just replaced standard Hastings slug barrel with their bull barrel version. Stabilized platform to shoot off hand. Nice weight forward now which is nice for heavy slug rounds. Also added Limb Saver recoil pad which is huge improvement over factory recycled steel belted pad they call a recoil pad.

Get a restaking tool for the Remington from Brownell's.
