T/C Service
« on: June 23, 2004, 04:59:33 PM »
I sent an older stainless frame in for repair.  They received it on June7.  I got it back today.  Not only did they fix the problem, but they upgraded it as well.  They removed the crossbolt safety type hammer and put a new type on it.  They also converted it to the easy open frame with the pivot pin in the middle of the frame instead of in the front.  Total cost...ZERO!!!  They even paid the return shipping.  Don't know about the rest of you but I am going to keep buying T/C!!!

Doc T, I had the exact same experience with TC many years ago.  My first encounter with them.  I was highly empressed at the time and nothing has ever changed my mind since.  I now own two large gun safes chocked full of TC products.  I'm still happy and assume they are too.  Life is GOOD.  GOOD SHOOTIN',  Walt  :-D   :-D   :-D

doc,
that is good customer service only if you wanted it converted. What if you wanted to keep is the way it was as a collectible.

They are normally real good about  service I just don't like the idea of them doing that much work to a fire arm with out asking first

I recently sent them a barrel which had a POI 8" high for the first round, then it tracked down 2" or so per round  until it settled down after five or so rounds.

They sent me a new barrel five weeks or so later. The new barrel had been test fired by T/C, and it is doing fine.

My other major experience with their service was thirty or so years ago when the lugs broke off of a barrel when a relative tried to force them incorrectly into the frame. I sent it in, and got it back repaired at no cost in about two weeks.

I will also continue to buy T/C.
