advice on basic air powered hunter

I've decided to purchase an air rifle to mainly use to reduce a few fesky red squirrels and the occasional woodchuck.  I've got very little exp. with air guns compared to regular firearms.  In the past a .22lr would be used but because of my new neighbor, (loves to call/complain about anything) I'll use it as an excuse to get an air rifle.  Any suggestions for a moderately priced model for this purpose.

Last year shot 32 squirrels in my backyard, the little critters were starting to move into my attic, had to resort to cutting populations, Used a model 66 crossman, very affordable .177 scoped, Walmart. I head shoot them withing 20 yards, ten pumps and you are ready to go, I chroned the speed got 800fps plenty for a squirrel,also bought some nice hunting pellets with the points, work very well, didn't have one get away;) good practice for the centerfires;) Aim small hit small. If you don't want to pump the gun 10 times for eash shot then you need a good springer. For the money you want a chinese B19 springer in either 177 or a 22 the 177 will get 900fps + and the larger 22 will ger 650fps -700fps plenty to kill squrills. the guns are avaiable a number of places but FunnSuppily garentees the gun for life excepting the spring and seals. You can also get a tech force scope mount and a tech foprce 4x scope for another $100 (the gun runs about $90 including shipping) so got $200 you get a good powerful springer rifle and a decent scope and mount for it as well. and the best part all you have to do id cock the barrel once put a pellet in the breech and you are ready to kill some critters. without pumping a number of times inbetween shots. JMHO

Go to www.compasseco.com and check out the rifles they have to offer.  Personally I recommend the Tech Force 99m in either the .177 or .22 caliber(this is the one that I have).  Velocity of the .22 caliber is rated at an honest 900 fps.(I got 913 using the cheap Chinese pellets that came with the rifle) and the .177 is rated at 1,100 fps..  Accuracy is excellent.  I got a picture of a group that I fired at 40 yards to back this up(if I could figure out how to post it here I would).  Compasseco, Inc. are good people to work with.  Small groups and tight lines to you.  Lawdog
