Remington Core-lokt ultra
« on: July 10, 2004, 03:14:51 PM »
Not really a reloading question but I wasn't sure where else to post it.

Can anyone tell me the difference between Remington's Core-Lokt Ultra and their regular Core-Lokt?

Anyone used them on deer?  How did they perform?

Thanks ahead of time.

They are a bonded bullet (Ultra}.  In Petersens Hunting 2-3 monthes ago they compared bonded bullets.  The core-locked ultra looked like it flattened out at 3000fps, didn't lose much lead but lost its shape.  Probably not a problem if you shoot it in a non-magnum or your impact distance is at 2800 fps or less.  Buckfever
