Bushnell Elite low light reticle??
« on: January 15, 2003, 05:48:44 AM »
I can't examine this scope where I live, but see it is offered in a "low light reticle". Can someone describe this reticle? Is it broad crosshairs stepping down to fine crosshairs in the center? How well is it suited to long range shooting where hold over is necessary? I had a post reticle once that was great at short range but would blot out the target if hold over was necessary.

I think that you are talking about Bushnell's so called "3-2-1" low light reticle.  This type of reticle does have steps just like you mentioned, hence forth the "3-2-1."  As far as holdover, I'm not sure.  In any event, I'm personally just not very interesting in this type of reticle.  Try to go to bushell.com and see if you can find this reticle.  If not, then get a free catalog like I did - you'll see it in there.
