Sight Selection!
« on: October 03, 2004, 01:26:12 PM »
Hi Folks, I asked this on another board,

Got a question for you. I have an MVA #111 Globe sight on my Sharps '75. I plan to hunt with this rifle this year. I'll be hunting whitetail deer in the eastern woods.

My sight card is the "A" card. Of the available sights in the "A" card, which one would you recommend for hunting in low light conditions? Would you recommend any extra treatment to the sight(painting it white, etc.)?

Thanks,

White paint always helps me see the front sight better. I also like drilling out the small disc to 1/8". POW

POW,

I have used paint on sights, in the past. But, they were not inside a globe.
I have a Hadley peep and it has several different size peeps in it.

Just thought someone would have some hunting experience with the globed sights!

Thanks,
