Up-date on Ajax Cherrywood grips for RV
« on: July 01, 2004, 03:17:17 AM »
Really like my cherrywood grips from Ajax but they were about an 1/8" proud of the frame at the top.  Called them and they said to send them back and they would trim them down.  Did that and about 2 1/2 weeks later they are back, they fix and I like them.  Price was right at $40 per set

Gotta look pretty as I can't hit the board side of a barn.

One thing that wasn't all that great was the screw that they sent (I'm sure it was the original) was too long.  Had to cut and grind it down.  No big deal, just an aggravation.

Those grips sure are pretty.  Enjoyed shooting with you and Slashwood this weekend.  Glad the rain stopped and we were all able to get together to shoot.

See you next month.

:cb2: Glad you got your grips to fit. I ordered some Ajax buffalo horn grips for a Bisley, and they didn't even come close to fitting. There was something different wrong with both sides. The folks I ordered from said they could send me another pair, but that they had been having a lot of quality control problems with Ajax grips. There would be no guarantee that a replacement set would work either. So I wound up with a set of Hogue black micarta.

Again, I'm really glad yours worked out OK. They sure do look good.
