I would love to head out to a rendezvous somewhere. Never been to one. It looks like some of these affairs are private though. Anyone know of any coming up in the Maryland, W.Va. or Virginia area?

Do a www.google.com search for "maryland black powder rendezvous" or WV or VA, without the quotes and you'll get some starting places and email addresses to check out, sooner or later you'll hook up with the right people. hth, Tim

i suscribe to "PowderHorn News" it lists mostly Upper plains stuff and west but this one is listed for W.V.;

Now here's just a hint,,if you try to contact a booshway just before or just after a 'vous it likley ain't gonna work. He'll be too busy before,,and burned-out after,,it's a chore.
If you can make it to one 'vous, and talk ta folks,, ask nice,,you'll find plenty near ya,,it help's to buy something from the "traders", tell'm you like this kinnda stuff,,,"whar's the next one?" you'll see,good luck,,,,

Thank you guys. You are both very kind. I see that the rendezvous mentioned is near Wheeling W.VA. Cabellas just opened a new 42K sq. ft. store there---never been to one of those either. Sounds like a nice wkd. Thanks again.
