i know   it  is  nasty   but  i w anted  to  take  some  pictures  of  hog  scat  i  found   for  those  who   do  not  know  what  it  appears  like   i  was  scouting  an area  i  have  baited  the  last  few  days  in a  remote  area,  this  is  a  place  where  there  is  tons  of  cover  and   i  found  about  30  piles  of   scat,  which  tells  me  several  things   it  tells  me  in  general  what  size  pigs  i  am  dealing  with   it  tells  me  the  amount  of  pigs    upon  seeing  this  i  found  tracks  of  all  sizes  so  i  am  assumiong  some  sows  with  shoats   this  picture  i  have  layed  a  308  round  next  to  it  to  see  the  general  size   this  was  the  average  size  i  found  some  bigger  ones  and  alot  smaller  ones   also   by  the  scat  piles  were  the tracks  so   based  on  track  size  and  the  reserch  i  do  on  these  i  can  dertmine  the  size  of  hogs,  i  have  put  toether  a  rough  chart  that  i  will  be  posting  later  i  am  working  on estimations   these  will  not  be  exact  numbers   but  based  on  hundreds  of  pigs  i  have  killed  and  seen  and  samples   it  should  be  pretty  accurate

Congratulations. You have done some excellent research. Very enlightening. This is a subject a lot of us wanted to know, but were afraid to ask. :lol:

i  have  also  done  some  more  reserch  pics  of  hog  wallows  pics  of mud rubs  ill  be  posting later
