mdm buckwacker opinions?

hello all i picked up a mdm buckwacker a few weeks ago its a 50 cal, bluesteel/.camo syth stock, i also just  bought a bushnell model 3200 elite 2x7x32 scope for it will be taking it to the range this sat, to sight in, i use to have a tc blackdiamond but i wanted to get this buckwacker because its has few parts easier to clean more weather tight  ect i will be using 2 50 grain pyrodex pellets and a powerbelt bullet. with  209 primers of course, ill give a range report when iam done,  does anyone else have one? and how do you like it? thanks david

I like mine, I just wish it had a better trigger.
 
I didn't get good accuracy with the power belts.  I got much better groups using the 250g shockwaves with 2 Pyrodex pellets.  I also got pretty decent groups with the 240g XTPs.

well, i  took my new  buckwacker to the range sat, i first tried the power belts , and it did not like them at all, next i tried 240 grain xtp,s  with two 50 grain pyrodex pellets and it shot very good, so that is the combo i will be  using this season, ,david

I have a pair of .50 caliber MDM's that I bought from Cabela's which are of American manufacture and have 25" blued barrels/camo stocks.  If I'm not mistaken, the receivers are now made in Brazil.  I have both rifles topped off with Weaver Grand-Slam bases, Burris Signature Zee rings (high), and Burris Fullfield 6X scopes.  One rifle has a great trigger and the other has a trigger that leaves a little to be desired.  The tapered barrels make the rifles balance fairly nicely.  Fit and finish seem fairly good.

Shooting with 100 gr. of 2F Triple7 powder:
-  295 gr. Powerbelt copper HP supplied with gun, lousy accuracy.
-  300 gr. Hornady XTP .430 in Harvester 44/50 green sabot, 1.5" at 100 yards.
-  300 gr. PR SSHP in 44/50 MMP green sabot, 1.5" at 100 yards.

Shot a buck last year at a lasered 151 yards with the PR load.  So far both guns seem to be keepers but if I can't find a gunsmith to lighten the pull on the one rifle I may look to sell it.
