Well, got the new Sportsmans and found that prices are going up.  It seems that a new Traditions Kentucky is going for 250 and a traditions Hawkin is around 160.  Anyone interested in a Cabella's shotgun knows that they cost the same as a small army.  I know that there is inflation, but I wonder if the lack of buying is causing prices to rise in order that companies can stay in business.

I have looked on the auction sites and there aren't a lot of pre-owned rifles for sale.  Are the companies taking advantage of the situation?

Just a guess, but with the prices of gas and diesel I would think the trucking and shipping companies are passing on their expenses.  :cry:  So it goes on down the line the gun companies or distributers are passing on the expenses to make it up. Could be more too it but I bet this is part of it. Jim

Hey guys, I think a big part of it is the sinking value of the dollar. It just doesn't = as many euros as it did a year or two ago, so it takes alot more of them to buy anything from our friendly Italian gunmakers, even when they keep their price the same. It sure gets alot worse if they raise prices too. I also heard that steel prices are way up.
