Custom or cut down?
« on: July 10, 2004, 06:36:35 AM »
Want various carbine length barrels including muzzle loader for encore.  Is it economically feasable to have them cut? If so, any gunsmith recomendations?  Thanks[/b]

If you already own a bbl/bbls then it will be cheaper than a custom job.  But if you add the cost of buying a brand new bbl then a gunsmiths work your probably better off going custom.  Fox ridges bbls are just a wee bit more expensive than a factory bbl.  Move up to some of the other places and you might pay around $100 more than a factory bbl, but you get any caliber you want.
