$14.81 oil filter???
« on: July 16, 2004, 05:09:05 PM »
Just spent $14.81 + tax on a Yamaha Warrior oil filter. How can that be right? Anybody Know an online source where we could order oil and filters for several ATV's. We'd probably get together and order a bunch to save shipping and minimum order fees. Thanks

buying them at your local auto parts store.  I buy my Mule and motorcycle oil filters for a couple of dollars at "Auto Zone " which is an auto parts store here in Tx.  Not sure if they have them other places around the country or not. They cross referenced the #'s for me, and I buy an STP filter for a few $.  lots cheaper than the dealership.

I run k&n oil filters on my Yamaha Raptor, get them at autozone, cost 9.95,but it is a much higher quality filter than the factory yamaha filter...

grizzlyguy, did they come out and install it, and give you a kiss? Cause it sure sounds like they took you to the cleaners. Motorcycle parts place wanted close to that price for a filter for my kawa, and auto zone had it for a couple of dollars. Same thing for spark plugs for my boat. Shop wanted 5 + bucks apeice, auto parts store 1.29. Some of these places should change their name to "Rape & Rob"
