Need some help.
Have a.58 Cal Hawken 32" long 1"and 1/8 across the flats.Shoots round balls.Question is will it be good for Elk?, what distance? It's a good shooter.

No not near enough, you best sell that old monster to me and get your self one of those 50's or 54's.

Actually, I load my 58 with 120 grs. of 2f and I have no doubt that I can cleanly drop and elk, provided that I hit it where it needs to be hit.
