Pistol primer reliability
« on: July 12, 2004, 08:28:48 AM »
I have been using Winchester WLP primers for 45ACP and have had very good reliability with them. They do seem a bit sooty. I have had two fail from one particular box of 500, but all others have been good.  This was for about 10,000 rounds.

Lemme see......CCI large pistol, Winchester LR, SR, SPM, SPS.....never had a misfire EVER.  Either brand, thousands of primers.  Thats even including the period of time when I was handling individual primers and everyone warned not to cuz you "are gonna contaminate one of them priers some day."  Never happened.
