The "New" Winchester M-94's?
« on: July 13, 2004, 07:55:53 AM »
Hi Guys,
I have noticed the new Win 94's have a tang safety on them and they don't appear to have that re-bounding hammer safety, like the one I have had since the late 80's.  Is this true, because I have always thought that re-bounding hammer safety made the action REAL ROUGH while levering the gun, and was a dumb idea from the get go.  So, are the newer models as they appear in pictures and magazines without the re-bounding hammer?  Are they made better now and do they have smoother levering?  How about the new safety too? Whats the opinions on the New M-94 30-30's?
RKBA!

I got a new one, with tang safety and rebounding hammer in 357M.
Action is hard but will improve with some time, I guess it'll be quite 'normal' in comparison with my other (197x's I guess) 30-30 trapper
