Anyone have a lead on finding a crescent buttstock and plate and a rifle fore end and cap?  In the process of building a 24" rifle from a carbine. The donor is pretty sad shape..want to brass plate the receiver, buttplate and end cap. I think I have way too much time on my hands. :)

  Thanks,

Butt plates (steel cresent) and replacement grade walnut stocks are available from Brownells (catlg.55, page 46).  Try Gunparts or Winchester for the forearm caps.  The tip was used on some of the commemoratives and recent 'cowboy' style weapons(rifles and short rifles).  I also believe the caps for the '92 will work just fine.  You may also contact Taurus as the '92 copy they market (formerly the Rossi) was made in a rifle version and the cap would most likely be adaptable to your needs..  Good luck from the gunnut69
