Summit Stands
« on: August 02, 2004, 01:22:06 PM »
Just bought two Summit Viper X4's from Bass Pro - one for me, and one for my daughter. They are easy to use, easy to carry, weigh 20 pounds, and it's the equivalent of hanging a Lazy Boy in a tree. Wish I'd bought one sooner. My daughter is 13, and she can use it also. We went to a park to try them out yesterday. It was fun sitting up in a tree, and having people walk by under us, and not know we were there. The best part is being able to move to different spots to hunt this year. My daughter got settled into the seat about 25 feet up a big palm tree, leaned back, and said "Wow, I'll be able to sleep good in this." I don't think that's the reason we got them, but ...........................?

I started out with the old Bakers, have also used Loggy Bayou, API and some off brands and the Summits with the cables.  The Summits are by far the best in my opinion.  Only problem I ever had with them was with the strap and bungee that went over your feet.  They cured that this year with the plastic stirrups.  I added them to my old stand.  Enjoy them, and the time afield with your daughter.
