A coal black grasshopper in my garden.Ever seen one ? And NO its not a cricket.lol.

Yup seen hundreds perhaps thousands of them. Around here tho they also have some red on them as I recall. We used to call them cemetary grass hoppers as you could always seem to find them there.

 Never seen one. Must be a minority :)

 A while back I saw a cricket fly about 20 feet. Never knew they could use their wings for anything but makin' music...

When I was a kid, Daddy'd come out the door with a couple of mayonaise jars with holes in the lids and announce to us kids, "let's go fishin!". Us kids would collect anything jumping. Didn't make any difference to the fish. A time or two I've used locusts.
