barrel question
« on: August 06, 2004, 01:57:09 PM »
i was told that a barrel for one of our shotguns could be made to fit by a gunsmith. if this is true, could i just go find a barrel somewhere that i wanted and have someone fit it to my receiver?

this would cost about the same as sending it back to NEF...39 for the barrel and 15 for labor and 10 for shipping = $64.00

right?
I have it on good authority that the telepromter is writing a stern letter.

Most likely it would mount up fine without alterations. If it needed a little tweaking a smith could do it but for the cost of a new barrel you could probably find a whole used topper or pardner. You could almost  buy a new one for almost the cost of fitting a nnew barrel. You didn't mention your cost to ship it to them in you post that brings the total to at least $70.00. I know a shop were a could buy a dozen for under $70.00 ea.

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun
