223 shot stringing

FOLKS,
Has anyone had a problem with shot stringing with a 24" SS custom shop
heavy barrel in .223.
Mine shots 1/2" groups for 3 to 6 shots & then a 2" group all over the place for the next 10/12/ shots.
I was shooting H322-H335- 50gr v-max & 45 Sierra SPT.& also Win.factor "VARMINTER" 45 gr( 40 pack).
All produce the same results. All shots @100yds. benched. Temp here in NE PA was about 89 & 100 percent humidity.
Any help is appreciated.

my 22 hornet did the same thing , I added small rubber washers between the forend and the barrel at the mounting screws

Ditto on the rubber washers w/a 30 GNR.  Worked wonders.  How fast are you shooting these groups?

What are you using for a shooting rest? I have a similar problem when I use a commercial shooting rest (instead of sandbags). With sandbags all is well.

I use a BENCHMARK commercial rest & I usually have about  3 minutes or so between shots.
