Lever actions w/o loading gates ?

I like lever actions but absolutely despise the loading and unloading procedure. The busted thumb during loading and cranking out of rounds all over the ground and looking for them for unloading. Who makes lever actions that load a tubular magazine from the muzzle end like a Henry rifle (or Marlin model 60 for that matter)? Other than Henry ofcourse. What is the name for this type of loading system? Who all makes a magazine fed lever action other than Savage 99's and Ruger 96's?
In short, I really like lever actions but HATE loading gates! Help me out guys.

Me thinks you need to develop your technique  

If you open your lever gun, then close it just slightly, you should be able to tip the next round out into your hand. Once you get the knack, it's as easy as unloading a bolt gun with a blind mag.

As to the "busted thumb" you'll get over it

Browing makes a fine lever action (the BLR) in many calibers, that has a detachable box magazine.  Also, the old (1960-1970s) Winchester Model 88 is a great lever gun, with a box magazine.

 You have lots of choices like these.  Just sit down with a copy of the Shooters Bible and take a look.

  Personally, I hate the tube fed levers with the loading port at the front of the tube, like the Henry. I also hate the loading gates, because it is like letting a hamster bite the end of your thumb every time you have to load the rifle.   They are beautiful to look at and hold though.
