Sorry for the moderator neglect here.  I have been scouting moose, prospecting and getting ready for archery season.

The entire state has glaciation and then so, the possibility of gold brought down from Canada.  Wyoming County is supposed to have some gold and along the Susquehanna River.  The north eastern part of the state is supposed to be the hottest area.

Remember that you can not prospect on an State Game Lands.  They are closed to all forms of prospecting.

I am not sure why they won't let you prospect on state game lands.  Could be the mis-information concerning prospecting and the destruction of the enviroment.  If we all police ourselves, fill in our holes and are respectful then there should be no problems.
