Anybody taken one of these to the range? Kinda wondering what kind of shooters they are.

I was warned that you have to be very careful with the ammo because the action is not strong enough to handle some of the milsurp that is going around. I do not know this firsthand....but I did not buy one because of the warning.

Apparently...the FR-7 is inferior, but the FR-8 is a strong Mauser action. Just make sure which one you are looking at.

Ok, I found this article at surplusrifle.com and it seems to clear things up a bit (I hope);

I'm looking at an offering by one of the wholesalers for Spanish Mausers in .308. Need to find out exactly what they are, '93 or '43, etc?
