Folks ,
I have a Fox Ridge 24" SS Hvy. bbl. in 223 Rem. It shoots the first 5/6 shots in a single hole ,using WW 223 45 gr hp"VARMINTER" bullets.
However it starts to string out shots after about 6 shots.I also tried 50 gr v max over 24 gr of H322, same results, also 45 gr Sierra spt over H322 & H335 same results. All were with Rem new brass & cci sm rifle primers.
Perhaps I am shooting too fast for the Encore to cool down, because I've never experienced this problem before.
I have a new leopold voix 3xi9 with wide duplex on top. Also the trigger is kind of heavy , I wonder if I can do anything with it ?
Thank you in advance for your time , help & consideration . I appreciate any feedback. If you have a good load for a 24" 1 in 12 twist I'd like to see it.

I had almost the same problem with a 22 hornet barrel. Does the stringing stop after a few shots ? Does it repeat the problem on each trip to the range ?
I added a small rubber washer between on the forend screws between the forend and the barrel to "free float" the forend
