As far as break-in goes, here is what I did. First of all, I like to fireform ALL brass to fit the chamber with which I am working. For example....for my VVGC 223 I bought some cheapo bullets and used some extra podwer on hand to load some mild cheap to shoot break-in rounds. Followed the break-in procedure and had my brass ready to go. Also during break-in is a good time to get your scope on paper.
During the break-in, I found that J&B Non imbedding bore compound also helped with breaking-in. Be sure you have some good copper remover....CR10 has been good to me. As far as accuracy has gone from my VVGC barrels, here it what i have gotten
223 Rem VVGC SS 22" 40gr Nos Btip best group .290" 5 shots .500"avg
22-250AI VVGC Matte 26" 55gr Nos Btip best group .385" 5 shots .550avg
280AI VVGC Matte 26" Best group HV120gr GS Custom bullet...absolutely screaming down the tube...5 shots best group .420" avg .650"
280AI VVGC Blue High Gloss 26" 140gr Nos Accubond So far...early in load development..... 3100fps and getting right qat .500-.600"
HAve loaded for a few othe VVGC barrels for friends and ALL have been around 1/2 MOA or better.
