Looking for Coffee Can Mortar
« on: August 04, 2004, 03:31:48 AM »
Does anyone know a commercial source for a 4" mortar, something that can shoot small coffee cans?  My beer can mortar and 1" cannon are a blast, but I'm looking for something bigger. I know Wild Imports has a 4.21" mortar, but that seems like excessive windage to me.

Well I think I answered my own question. According to Gus at Wild Imports, their 107mm mortar safely shoots the smaller coffee cans and/or soup, beans, peaches and other appropriately sized cans filled with cement.

John,

Consider this.  Build another beer can mortar, except have it bored  to take 6 pounder balls, Thats about  3.67 inches . Order the balls from Paulsen Bros listed up in our Cannon Resources list posted at the top of this forum.
