to many barrels???
« on: August 03, 2004, 09:52:35 AM »
i have been a fan of NEF/H&R and T/Crifles and shot guns for a long time. as most of y'all know the nef is a interchangable system also. my ??? is can you wear out the frame w/ to many barrels???. if ya have (just an example) a .223 for vomints a .270 for black bear/deer and other medium game and a mag 7mm or .300 for the big stuff and a muzzle loader for good mesure  thats alot of rounds a year for one frame. 200 rnds on the .223 50-100 for the .270 25-100 for the mag and the same for the muzzy. that comes to about 375-500 (depends on how much noise ya make  ) that on a no-switchable gun is about 100.
any info???
later :D buckslayer
I've got to many but never enough!!!!

If you're worried, the question isn't too many barrels, it's not enough frame.

So get an extra frame!!!!

Sounds like all you need is someone to tell you that it's extremely dangerous...and you've got the perfect reason to buy a new frame. Your wife should thank her lucky stars for having such an alert, and safety conscious husband   Trim off this part and print out the following:

WARNING: "Extremely" dangerous to fire multiple barrels from one frame. Anyone choosing to do so, obviously doesn't truly love or appreciate their "Amazing" wife and beautiful children.

That should pretty much seal the deal!! :D  Enjoy the new frame.

375 to 500 rounds ? If you count rifle shotgun and handgun I`ve do at least twice that in a month. I think that your big problem is that you don`t get to go out shooting enough.
