   I bought a 7-08 encore in march. Broke in the barrel with facctory ammo then started to teast some hand loads. The barrel was junk. 3-5" groups @50 yds. All those loads were @ standard length. I went back and checked the throat of the chamber. I was able to seat the bullets out a little more. Still the same, 3-5" groups @ 50 yds. Well sent the barrel to T/C, thought they would fix it, crown or something like that. Surprise; they sent me a new barrel. Took 6 weeks to get it. would like to know how others faired. OH also the encore trigger is the worst i've seen. Suggestions anyone. and the trigger didn't cause 3-5" groups.
always be safe and pass it on to a young hunter

I had a similar experience with a 24" 7m-08 barrel from them.  Although mine would get very hot after 4 shots and then shoot fantastic.  I gave them a call, sent the barrel in and in a short time had a new barrel.  I was so pleased with their service that I never asked them what the problem was.  This one shoots fine.  As for the trigger, it has a little creep but is probably about 3.5 lb pull.

My  experience with T/C was the same as longwinters, only with a .300 Win. Mag. barrel.  My barrel did great when it was hot, but the first four or five rounds would be in a 6"-8" string.

I sent it back, and T/C replaced it with a new barrel.  The turn around was about six weeks. The new barrel groups fine for two or three groups of three shots, and then it gets hot, and opens up to 2 or so MOA. I'm OK with that as I don't anticipate firing six or more rounds with a single shot .300 magnum under practical conditions anyway.

I've had mediocre ( 1.5-2.0 MOA) accuracy with a .280 Remington barrel, and have had very good accuracy ( 1 MOA) with a .338/06 barrel, both from T/C.

That encore trigger is about the worst you'll find as it comes from the factory, but it is about the best you will shoot after it is worked on.  Eabco did mine at the time I bought my frame from them.

Picked up a stainless .308 bbl. not too long ago, It was as expected through the break-in period( a little shaky!) But around that time I pushed the bullet out to.005 off the rifling, and all is well in shooterville! Gotta try that spring bending trick on the trigger though. FWIW

intially with factory loads my 7mm08 grouped at about 2+ MOA. I called TC just to ask for advise and they recommended trying 154 grain bullets. I did and also seated the bullets out a bit so to be close to rifling and my groups went to 1MOA. I also found good luck using a slow powder with magnum primer.

My .260 barrel shoots less than moa on the bench w reloads. The 209 x 50 barrel is also impressive. My trigger is fine from the factory. I really have been happy with all of my TC products ( what else can I say )

I had the problem with a 300 win mag barrel. It took me three times sending it back before I got a new one. I also had a problem with a muzzleloader 45cal. barrel.
