Model 94 Ranger

I recently purchased a Winchester model 94 Ranger at my local gunshop. This is my first lever action rifle. Can someone tell me what the difference is between the model 94 and the model 94 Ranger? Only thing I see is different is the sights.

The ranger is the lowest price mod 94. Biggest dif is the wood. The ranger will NOT have a walnut stock or a hooded front sight.
