Kevin, could you please tell me where you found the 200 grain
303 bullets. Are they components or loaded shells? Is this supplier in Canada? I love the .303 but I like heavy bullets at slower speeds for my hunting needs.

I would really like to find a mould for casting the original 215 grainers...cuz you can't beat sectional density for close shots on large rutting critters.

Any info you have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Can't recommend any 200gn bullets, 7x57, but Woodleigh of Australia makes a jacketed, bonded-core Weldcore RN 215gn in .303 cal specifically designed for .303 Brit. Midway in the USA sells them I believe.

steve ridgewell at www.303british.com makes them. prices ain't to bad, and he lives in southern ontario, but will ship to the states and europe too i think. apparently they are better to use than the 215 gr load because when you seat a 215 gr bullet to the proper depth the bullet base goes below the neck. this prevents you from a max powder load. the 215 gr bullet does not go past the neck and allows a max powder load. this equals almost the same energy and punch of the 215 gr bullet, but with a higher speed and better performance.

I have some 225 grain jacketed bullets in .312 that I got from a guy who posts here on graybeard. His screen name is billinoregon. He swages them himself. So far I.ve tried them in my 91/30 with fine results. Have a few left to try in my Enfield.

I had two real close encounters with bears this year. A large ant eating black bear let me get to spitting distance before we noticed each other, and I ran into a sow grizzly with yearling cub at forty yards while cow talking. The cub snorted and came towards me and his momma followed.
I backed away SLOWLY and they finally got bored and left. It was a while before I could pry my hands off the stock!
Gotta love BC and "extreme hunting".

Point is at times like that I want long heavy bullets in the pipe.

I have some dies on the way, and will be experimenting this winter. Hopefully I'll be producing .312 and .311 bullets by next spring.
