Bait?

Hi everyone,
I'm just starting to learn to trap, and I was wondering if I could use bobcat meat as bait in like a dirt hole set, or if the smell would turn off other animals? Thanks.

As far as bait goes, tainted bobcat meat is the best canine bait there is. Use a chunk down the hole and a good call lure on the upper rim of the hole. Ace

I agree with Asa as ive found the bobcat meat nbr one for canines. It also works for cat too. FERAL cats work good. After it freezes and is below freezing i use a call lure to get canines into area and then they will find the bait at set. I dont use bait untill it freezes so i taint my cat meat more.
