Encore v G2
« on: August 17, 2004, 10:37:51 AM »
I have a contender.  I want to do a 6.5x55 swede. TC won't do it because of liablility over pressures.  I know Encore will accept the Swede.  What about G2?  Is it an orphan?  What are differences?  I know that the Contender has to be opened to recock if the hammer is let down.  the Encore addresses that.  What are particulars about G2, Encore v Contender?

The G2 and contender frames are both not a strong as the Encore frame. The Encore is for the higher pressure rounds. I would recommend staying with a Encore. JMHO.  :-)
