I stopped in a small gun shop in my area and found a NIB T/C lighted recticle 2.5x7 scope for $162.99. This seems like a real good deal to me. the only handgun scope i've ever used was a fixed power Burris that was super easy to pick up your target with. Are these T/C's worth the money? The FOV for this scope on 2.5x power is 15'. In your opinion is that enough for quick target aquisition? I could save a hundred bucks over a 2x7 Burris and put it towards another barrel. Whats your opinion?

P.S Ive shot thousands of rounds through a Redhawk and I was sort of stunned by the recoil of the .44 G2 without a scope shooting factory 240's

Great price on an excellent scope----in normal light no need for the lighted reticle, but when the light fades fast, you can turn on that red reticle and actually see those cross hairs on deer hair just enough longer to get that buck when he steps out into the open at the last moment of shooting light---without the red light it is hard to tell the dark line of the verticle line of the crosshair from a (verticle ) tree trunk. pg

Ed sells them for $225 I think it is and he is the cheapest I have ever seen. I have a few of them and they are good scopes for the money. I only have one lighted and have never actually used the light, but I might need it someday.

I've got three mounted on Contenders. Good scopes, clear glass, and they have held up for a bunch of rounds in as heavy as a 14 inch 45-70 with out a hitch.

I bought the T/C scope today. Picked up a Leupold base for QR rings that I allready had at home. Mounted it today and didnt like the clearance between the scope and trigger. I had only low rings. Im sure the high QR Leupold will work much better. Ive used the Quick Release Leupold on a lot of muzzleloaders and they seem to work well. Anyone else use them on a Contender?
